This invaluable on-site experience has granted me insights into the ‘behind the scenes’ of the construction industry, providing me with a glimpse into the roles and responsibilities of Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Foremen, Engineers and Architects. Building upon my previous experience at Placemakers, where I worked closely with materials, I swiftly adapted to the implementation and utilization of materials on-site, contributing to the creation of exceptional infrastructure that showcases Auckland's world-class structures.

At PlaceMakers Wairau, I had the opportunity to work in multiple areas, including as a Retail Assistant, in Yard Operations, and on the Store Floor. Throughout my time of employment, I prioritized delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. My responsibilities included managing and organizing inventory in the yard, handling various building materials, and fulfilling customer orders in the drive-through area with efficiency and accuracy. Collaborating with a diverse team, I contributed to the high standard of customer service and support across the store floor. This experience ignited my passion for construction and motivated me to transition from retail to on-site work, where I could implement building materials and contribute to the construction process.
