An advanced-level role within Unum’s Absence Management Center. Responsible for through, fair, objective and timely reviews of the most complex cases within short term disability claims alongside FMLA leaves, including state leave regulations. This role is responsible for providing outstanding customer service and regular interactions with employees, employers, and health care providers. Additionally, this role also serves as a back up to managers. Within this role, strong working relationships with HR staff at various client companies are established in order to maintain seamless and efficient administration of benefits and leave decisions.Focuses on maintaining strong ethical and compliance standards in claims and leave adjudication, while offering technical consultation to others. Works consistently on process improvements, including process documentation, workflow and customer issues.
