I am currently a senior Business Administration major at North Carolina State University, concentrating in Operations/Supply Chain Management. I transferred from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill specifically to focus on this concentration at the Poole College of Management and to take advantage of their strong internship and employment relationships. This past summer, I interned at Caterpillar Inc., where I worked on developing the North American distribution strategy for the Large Asphalt Paver AP655 machine, optimizing its supply chain from China to dealer delivery. I also led an initiative that recovered 98% of $107,000 in over-ordered inventory value and coordinated the rework of 80 Fusion quick couplers, recovering $150,000 in parts sales. Additionally, I helped set up a new Equipment Processing Center in Houston, documenting build issues and recommending process improvements. This experience enhanced my skills in supply chain optimization, cross-functional team collaboration, and data-driven decision-making using tools like Salesforce, eViz, Mach1, and Power BI.While at UNC, I was the Business Manager for the UNC Clef Hangers, an a cappella music group with roughly 50 performances each semester and $40,000 in annual revenue. This experience showed me the importance of proactive task management and attention to detail. Furthermore, I completed coursework for a German minor at UNC - Chapel Hill. Please don't hesitate to connect with me.Regards,Alex Schultz
