Sole charge as the vet for the Emergency Veterinary Service provided by the Bradley Stoke Hospital to the surrounding area. I am fortunate to work on a flexible 1 week on two week off rota. This provides a very varied, at times challenging, but rewarding case load. There is a combination of referral and first opinion case loads with access to an excellent in house ophthalmic referral unit. I have the benefit of continued tuition within the practice from very experienced practitioners, with operating days in the interim 2 weeks always available. I also have unrestricted freedom to perform any locum work I desire.

Working as a mixed practitioner with a small animal bias. Strong surgical interest with cardiac and ultrasonography referred internally. Regular out of hours week and weekend work. Opportunity to perform many procedures you would not normally be exposed to or lead so early in my career.

Upon graduating in 2015 I worked as a locum veterinary surgeon for the Blue Cross on request following placements as a student. I had the benefits of excellent facilities, tuition and a strong surgical case load.
