In addition to my previous duties, I now take the lead working with higher education instructors as subject-matter experts in designing and building online courses. I make sure these courses are based on current learning theories, designed using current design models, and comply with intellectual property, privacy, and accessibility laws. I also assist in the administration of the LMS (Blackboard until 2022 then Brightspace) which includes integrating external tools using LTI, adding new users, creating sections of courses, enrolling students in the correct sections using data from the institutions, and making sure student's accommodations are implemented. For current tools and software, I manage our licenses, maintain the relationship with the vendor, and serve as the tools' administrator (e.x. video conferencing, content authoring, and problem tracking/helpdesk). For new tools, I help vet them to see if they will work well in our program and help onboard instructors to them.

April 2021-May 2022: I collaborated with another SME on a new undergraduate math course called "Cultivating Effective Mathematical Thinking" by creating an initial syllabus and an alignment map aligning course objectives, module objectives, course materials, and technology that was accepted by institutions to list. Then, my colleague and I built the course together including content and assessments.March 2022-May 2022 I redesigned the Media & Society course removing the publisher textbook, instead using OER, and changed the assessments.
