Business Operations
As a member of the business operations team at FurnitureDealer.Net, I was tasked with creating efficiencies in our publishing process, the process by which product data was acquired, formatted, imported, and distributed to retailer websites.In order to create data import efficiencies, I wrote macros in MS Excel to clean up and format product data. I educated vendor partners on good data practices and reworked our process for handling content requests from clients. I formed partnerships with key vendors in the industry, managed relationships with a subset of suppliers, and led the onboarding of several new suppliers to our platform. I was also invited to be a member of Spec Ops, a program where the president of the company mentored a group of up-and-coming leaders.
Event Staff Coordinator
The University of Minnesota’s Orientation and First Year Programs (OFYP) helps new students successfully transition into college life. This includes high-quality, dynamic experiences like new student orientation, transfer student orientation, Welcome Week, and many other events throughout the year.As Event Staff Coordinator, I trained and led a team of 15 volunteers to manage the collection of attendance records for over 5,500 first year students. I led training workshops, managed staff scheduling, and oversaw all day to day operations of the Event Staff team. In addition to leading the team, I was responsible for analyzing and preparing attendance data for the University’s annual report.
