I am leading a fully indipendent research group funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation at the Otto Schott Institute of Materials Research (OSIM), Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Previously, I have been leading a group at Institute of Functional Interfaces (IFG) of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where I started with my second PostDoc in the lab of Prof. Dr. C. Wöll. Before I went to KIT, I have been doing my PhD and first Postdoc in the lab of Prof. Dr. J. Caro at the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Leibniz University Hanover. During my 2.5 years PhD time, I went for last ~half a year to the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia, where I completed my thesis and set the foundation for my postdoctoral research. Right now I am also active as research consultant and want to develop my research with industry partners to useful products.
