As a Senior Engineer at Entrust, I focused on DevOps tasks within the IFI Cloud Services Operations team, deploying and operationalizing new IFI services while ensuring day-to-day stability in a hybrid cloud environment spanning Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure. My responsibilities included developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for an on prem to azure cloud migration., Ansible code to support 20+ microservices, and manage infrastructure for all of them, and Git for automated consistency, managing continuous integration and deployment with Jenkins, and utilizing tools like Datadog and Splunk for system and application investigation. Supported Windows Server and Linux administration, particularly CentOS, I contributed to system enhancements and automation to improve performance and reliability. Collaborating with network architects, I designed and implemented operational enhancements while coaching and mentoring junior engineering staff. Additionally, I provided escalation assistance, performed incident analysis and problem resolution, and contributed to 24x7 on-call support and off-hours maintenance. I also spearheaded an initiative to bring in more infrastructure testing to ensure changes we wanted to make were actually being applied rather than relying on manual testing and verifications. I supported the Octopus Deploy scripts to manage the deployments using Ansible, I maintained the scripts for deployments. I managed production infrastructure for all of these applications.
