Microbiologist
CurrentI run the Holland, MI plants microbiology lab. I preform the following tasks on a regular basis.- Practicing aseptic techniques to minimize outside variables that could effect results- Receive and input all certificates of analysis from outside companies- Follow set boars head and USDA standards for appropriate bacterial levels- Test both raw and finished product for a variety of pathogens- Gathering nutritional information using FOSS- Run sodium and pH tests- Organize sampling dates for varies tests around the plant
