Formally trained as an architect, and registered in three states (US), I have spent my professional career designing things like high-rise condos and apartments, houses, senior living facilities, maintenance facilities, emergency operations centres, civic city centres, hotels and garages. My project experience is a varied mix of podiums, tunnel-form, column and plate, concrete, steel and wood construction. I specialize in schematic design, but have a lot of experience in construction documentation, detailing, coordination of the various disciplines, and code research. A tinkerer by default, I find opportunities in problems, and inspiration in change. Not everything needs to be redesigned, but nothing is outside analysis. More often than not something totally new emerges from the understanding of how things are working now.Long-term I desire a position that utilizes and exercises my skills and talents in design, foresight, analysis, innovation, administration, negotiation, expedition, evaluation, organization, and research. Since I have recently relocated back to my family's native country (England) I am interested in continuing my career in architecture, urban planning, or potentially switching gears and trying my hand at working on the development/client side.My greatest strengths are design aesthetics, innovation, team management, and decision making. My most useful strength is adaptability and no fear of working hard to keep it so. Contact me! I'd love to hear from you. Thanks for reading!
