Compliance And Policy Advisor
Current•Serves as the subject matter expert to ensure that Medicaid and CHP+ benefits and services comply with federal and state statutes and regulations, with particular focus on the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 implementation.• Amends the Medicaid and CHP+ State Plans to ensure accuracy of benefit coverage and reimbursement methodologies described in the plans, assists with waiver submissions and renewals.• Addresses regulatory and compliance concerns in the State Plan and Colorado Code of Regulations.• Drafts and modifies state rules to meet program goals while complying with federal and state statutes and regulations.• Responds to fiscal note and legislative requests.• Conducts research of best practices, policies, and other Medicaid and private payer programs; analysis to identify and address benefit or policy gaps; and provider, member, and stakeholder engagement and inquiry responses regarding policy.
