My whole life, I've wanted to be a problem solver. As a young boy, I built my own Lego city in my bedroom, complete with trash disposal services and traffic flow simulated via Lego vehicles driving on chalk roads, drawn onto my train table. When I would volunteer at the food pantry my mother organized, the part I enjoyed the most was helping new people and solving their problems. As I grow up and become a full-fledged engineer, I want to solve important problems, like improving walkability in car dependent infrastructure, or developing high speed rail lines that will reduce our reliance on fossil fuels. As a student, I am determined and passionate. I am willing and able to work diligently on difficult projects, to listen well, and to learn from my mistakes.
