I enjoy challenges in all aspects of my life, and my professional experience span from years of intense lab work to none-commissioned intelligence officer in the Danish Army. I see myself as an enterprising and ambitious person. I am very structured, a quick learner, and I enjoy the company of others both privately and in work relations. Molecular biology is a fascinating approach to understand biology at a molecular plan, searching below the large-scale manifestations of classic biology. How entities such as DNA, RNA, and protein interact, creating and maintaining an immensely complex organism such as ourselves. To understand this process is to understand how we came to be! This fascination lead me to study molecular biomedicine. Since 2012 I have been researching the metabolism of mammals, focusing on metabolite profiling and insulin sensitivity in cell and in vivo models.
