As API Operations Lead, I am responsible for leading a team that is responsible for a variety of aspects of pharmaceutical manufacture from the introduction of new processes to the daily management of establish processes. This role includes the writing of procedures and batch record sheets, coding of DCS procedures and maintenance of the DCS software and use of technical knowledge in root cause analysis investigations, design reviews, commissioning and HAZOPs. As a process operator I have the responsibilities of manufacturing pharmaceuticals on a large scales. This involves following procedures on the safe operation of a number of different pieces of equipment, having a safe working knowledge of the variety of differently sized plants, following and maintaining batch process sheets to cGMP standards and carrying out in-process testing involving GC and HPLC on batches to ensure quality. Also I have the responsibility of monitoring site utilities following environmental protocols.

In this role I was responsible for providing the excellent customer service that is expected in a Jones Bar Group bar. I worked as part of a large team to ensure the smooth running of the bar and the customer’s satisfaction. I am also responsible for maintain the bar’s cleanliness. This is a pressured environment with high demand on services.

While working for Creative Events I have had two roles, bar staff and bar manager. As bar staff I work as part of a large team behind the bars of some major events such as Royal Ascot and music festivals using my initiative and communication skills to help make sure that the bar runs smoothly and customers receive good service. As a bar manager I am placed in charge of a particular bar at an event and made responsible for its smooth running, which involves managing a number of staff, maintaining stock levels and taking responsibility for the large amounts of money taken at the bars.
