Quality assurance position with responsibility for performing Quality checks of production processes.•Collect raw material, in-process and finished product samples, complete test request forms and submit for testing. Perform additional sampling, if needed.•Release raw materials for use in production after ensuring all specifications have been met.•Perform batch record review for accuracy and completion and to ensure Good Documentation Practices.•Prepare Certificates of Analysis.•Monitor food safety and quality on the production floor to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices.•Report in-process quality issues and deviations to management personnel and complete necessary documentation to assure potential quality issues are identified, reviewed, and resolved prior to continuation of production and release of product.•Perform temperature, weight, metal detector, and monitoring calibration checks.•Perform raw material and finished product checks and packaging/label verification.•Maintain archive of retention samples and bulk culture stability samples.•Assess and modify Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain SOP binders.
