SDM builds on the strengths of traditional business and engineering programs to address the needs of experienced engineering professionals ready to transition into management roles. Our master’s in engineering and management trains students to address complex organizational challenges head-on with a holistic, innovative approach. While a typical MBA provides broad exposure to business and management concepts, the interdisciplinary SDM program seeks to provide a depth of knowledge that gives our students the foundation to be technically-grounded leaders.

Responsible for planning and coordinating future events and operations for the 52nd Brigade Engineer Battalion. The unit is a diverse organization consisting of over 500+ Soldiers in six separate companies that perform a variety of missions to include military engineering, communications and networking, intelligence collection, and logistical support.

Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri

Utah Resident Office, Hill Air Force Base, Ut

Primarily serves as a Project Engineer with additional duties as a Quality Assurance Representative for the Utah Resident Office. Responsible for the construction of munition storage magazines, a warehouse renovation, and an F-35 hanger upgrade with a total value of $28 million of miltary construction (MILCON). Also assists as a Project Manager forward for the Sacramento District regarding (MILCON) on Hill Air Force Base.

Ft Leonard Wood, Mo

Serves as head-of-staff and training officer for a One Station Unit Training company composed of 18 cadre who train over 600 Soldiers yearly on Basic Combat Training Skills and Military Occupational Specialty 12B, Combat Engineer, and 12C, Bridge Crewmember. Directly responsible for 3 Soldier and 2 Civilian employees. Responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all logistics for training events during 14 week training cycles. Acts as the maintenance supervisor for all company assets, to include a tactical and non-tactical vehicle, weapons with various optics and accessories, and chemical protective masks. Serves as the Commander of the Company in their absence.

Camp Hovey, Republic Of Korea

Directly responsible for a 35 man mechanized Combat Engineer Platoon, forward deployed in the defense of the Republic of Korea. Responsible for the training, readiness, health, welfare, discipline, and safety of 30 US Soldiers and four Korean Augmentees to the US Army. Serves as the task force engineer for a Reconnaissance Squadron consisting of 400+ Soldiers. Responsible and accountable for military equipment valued in excess of $8 million.

Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida Area

Summer intern for a $45 million construction project on a residence hall for the University of Tampa. Performed inspections during the structural erection phase of the building: inspection lay-out, concrete pours, post-tension design inspection, and quality control. Assisted in performing the duties of a project engineer.
