- Leading of a team of I&C Engineers and Designers.- Development of scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for I&C segments of projects.- Coordination of workload through design development and construction document phases to “as-built” documents.- Development of P&IDs in close coordination with Process and Piping disciplines.- Writing specifications for industrial field instrumentation and systems, including flow, pressure, level, temperature analytical, CEMS (Continuous Emissions Monitoring System), Gas detection, etc., in accordance with requirements of applicable codes and governing agencies.- Sizing, specification, selection and requisitioning of control valves, including severe service, implementing noise mitigation for regulatory compliance.- Sizing, specification, selection and requisitioning of primary flow elements, assuring code compliance.- Design of wiring diagrams for instrumentation and I&C systems, including those installed in classified hazardous areas.- Integration of I&C equipment and systems into new and existing plant main control systems, such as DCS, PLC, and/or stand alone controllers. - Writing specifications, selection and requisitioning of instrument freeze protection systems.- Coordination and review of design with other project disciplines to assure system functionality and appropriate interfaces.- Coordination and participation in FAT’s (Factory Acceptance Test) for I&C systems, including DCS, packaged equipment vendor control systems, CEMS, etc.- Participation in project HAZOP reviews.- Construction and commissioning support.- Coordination of I&C design with packaged equipment suppliers. - Management of I&C subcontracts.
