Managed 256 Skilled Nursing Home beds, in two separate suburban locations. Acquired the facilities out of US Bankruptcy Court in 1990. Occupancy was in the low 80% range, with no Medicare certification at either facilities. Over the 7 years of my ownership and direct management the facilities gained Medicare certification and stabilized census to consistently range from high 80's to low 90's per cent monthly. Successfully transitioned facilities and sold them to a national nursing home operations in 1997.

Managed a 250 bed Skilled Nursing Home owned by St. Joseph's Hospital in Mt Clemens Michigan. Assumed complete responsibility for all operations of the SNF and was responsible to regain Medicare Certification (after the facility lost certification due to poor performance surveys), stemmed the financial losses and created a cash flow positive operation within one year of my arrival. Facility sold by hospital to Sisters of Mercy Healthcare System as part of an overall collaboration between two Catholic Healthcare Systems.
