I explored computational methods of analyzing clinical magnetic resonance image and spectroscopy data. The goal of my research was to develop new insights into the diagnosis and treatment of hydrocephalus, pediatric brain tumors, and vasculopathies. A substantial amount of my work involved coding in python to develop graphical interfaces, data manipulation algorithms, databases, and pipelines for a large spectroscopy dataset. These tools improved the ability of clinicians to query and cross reference spectroscopic data with medical records and allowed researchers to perform analyses across patients to develop better insights for different disease states. Other notable projects involved segmenting arteries from time of flight magnetic resonance angiograms of the brain and automating callosal angle measurements for diagnosing normal pressure hydrocephalus.
