The microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (Mitf or how I call it,- the Most Important Transcription Factor) is back in my life and I just love it! Projects I am involved in focus on posttranslational modifications of Mitf, nuclear signaling and transcriptional regulation.Life is just great!

In my position as Skin Care product development manager for the ORFs daughter company SIF Cosmetics, I supervised and coordinated a team of marketing and regulatory experts, formulation specialists and supply chain members for new formulations and on-time production of their product line BIOEffect cosmetics. Furthermore, I organized and participated in several trade shows and events to promote BIOEffect products.

As Account and Product manager at ORF Genetics, I was responsible for the marketing and worldwide distribution of their main product line, ISOkine growth factors for stem cell research and regenerative medicine. In that function I identified and contacted potential distributors as well as key accounts and OEM clients for their growth factors, negotiated contracts and co-operations, performed sales and product trainings via telephone or on-site, assisted customers in troubleshooting and organized and represented ORF Genetics at scientific meetings and trade shows.

During that time I reached a 40% market share of the Icelandic restriction enzyme market as well as a 30% share of the Icelandic molecular kit market (rtPCR kits, qPCR kits)
