The Lofts Project, Burj Dubai DevelopmentTrainee Site Manager• 12 months international work experience on £100 million pound project. • 3000 labourers at peak production. • During my time on site I had a variety of roles and responsibilities:• Overseeing the blockwork carried out by a subcontractor, I dealt directly with the project manager for this trade alongside an Al-Futtaim Carillion Engineer. My duties included:-o Monitoring progress to ensure maximum coordination with the main contractual program. o Checking labour numbers, o Chasing approved drawings from the design department and ensuring that inspections were being carried out by the consultants. • As the project developed I became involved with many other processes including plastering and all other trades that coincide, which concerned additional responsibilities:-o Attending weekly construction, subcontractor and safety meetings and writing the minutes. o Reviewed and editing a number of method statements and risk assessments, under the supervision of my line manager.
