Provide expert support in the areas of environmental policy, international biodiversity policy, biodiversity, sustainable use of natural resources, protected areas, multilateral environmental agreements, stakeholder engagement into the CBD process, national biodiversity strategies and action plans, international negotiations

I was running the division of the CBD Secretariat dealing with main thematic and most of cross-cutting programmes including forest, ecosystem restoration climate change, marine and coastal biodiversity, protected areas, agriculture, freshwater, invasive alien species, wildlife, sustainable use and also units working on biodiversity economics and people and biodiversity (traditional knowledge, indigenous and local communities, health, gender). I was Secretary to SBSTTA, participated in all negotiations and was organising the substantive contribution to the development of the draft post-2020 global biodiversity framework from the start of the process. I was organising negotiations under CBD subsidiary bodies and Conference of the Parties as well as many thematic and expect meetings. Represented the Secretariat at high level and other events.

At this position I am running the circumarctic conservation and sustainable development programme of WWF providing leadership in a strategic efforts of 9+ WWF national organisations who jointly do their field conservation and policy work in the Arctic. This work include topics like climate adaptation, ecosystem resilience, species conservation, protected areas, financial systems, responsible industrial development (energy, extractives, shipping and fishery), vision for the future of the Arctic, Arctic governance, Arctic Council
