I started working as a tour guide 10 years ago, first doing “off the beaten track” walking tours in the city centre, boat trips and pub crawls. The more I came to know my city, the more I fell in love with it and chose guiding as my main occupation along with business interpreting. After graduating from the Faculty of Political Science of St. Petersburg State University in 2008 I got the licenses required to conduct tours of all major attractions in St. Petersburg and its suburbs. My main focus of interest is the political and military history of St. Petersburg. In this city every street is illuminated with dramatic events which changed the path of the country and the whole world, and it's my passion to relate these incredible stories to our guests. I do tours covering subjects such as St. Petersburg history, the Revolutions of 1905 and 1917, the assassination attempts on the Czars and Bolshevik leaders, social changes in the Soviet Union, World War II and the Siege of Leningrad. My hobbies range from researching the history of abandoned WWII battlefields and studying Art Nouveau architecture to forest trekking and rooftop walking.
