I am a driven individual with over 2 years of experience in chemistry and chemical manufacturing. As a research assistant at Itaconix Corporation, I had the opportunity to work with new and original biobased polymer chemistry. I have aided in the research and development of novel polymers, and taken them from the lab scale to the pilot scale. As a production assistant, I ensured that existing products were manufactured to tight specifications. Working at a small company further developed my natural ability to juggle several tasks on a tight schedule and work closely with a team. Another benefit was the constant exposure to all aspects of running a business. This included formulating, marketing, purchasing, sampling, and customer relations that a research assistant would not have learned at a large company.As an accomplished musician, I have played the tuba in the UNH Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra as well as several smaller ensembles. Music is one of my greatest passions, and I put the same energy and excitement into my work.
