I'm a professional Fine Arts Painter, Draftsman, and Teacher in Denver. I do commissions for original art work specializing in the human figure and portraiture in the humanist realist tradition. I teach group and private classes in classical painting and drawing, anatomy, and color theory. I also lecture in art history.I also work part time in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and a yoga instructor for the YMCA. I have a 200 hour certification from Dhyana Yoga in Vinyasa Yoga, and have also studied Ashtanga yoga under Ty Landrum and Mary Taylor at the Yoga Workshop in Boulder CO.

I worked for the Art Student's League of Denver for 6 years as an instructor of Classical Painting and Drawing. During my time there I taught extensively as an expert in figurative drawing and painting in the classical and academic tradition, teaching life drawing, structural anatomy, color theory, art history, and the Poetics of Space.I was also responsible for spearheading a curricular atelier program aimed at giving students access to instructors and courses organized around a theme of classical pedagogy. In addition, I served as Chair of the Faculty Advisory Committee, and was responsible for training monitors and in restructuring the school's Open Figure Sessions, a program aimed at giving members and non members alike weekly opportunities to study the live model in a professional setting.

Having studied with Founder jason Polins, I have taught frequently as a guest instructor in his school. Much of my workshopping at the Atelier was focused on methods and techniques handed down through our mutual mentor Nelson Shanks, integrating concepts of the Cape School with that of the Boston School and French Academic drawing.
