My name is Al Thoma. I am currently finishing up an internship in Charlotte, North Carolina for 107.9 The link. I was originally a student at The New School of Radio and Television, which is located in Albany, New York where I was a student from March to August of this year. At my school I was given an hour long sports talk show monday through friday for the last 2 months of school, something they don't do for everyone. The reason I took an internship in Charlotte instead of Albany, was simply because I wanted the challenge of a bigger market. So, with the confidence of my instructor and confidence of my own I set out to make a believer of anyone in my path while I was down here. I believe I did just that. I, along with my references, will tell you my prep is great, and my attitude is everything you could ask for, and I will tell you I can use social media as good as anyone, I have a twitter and am waiting to land a job somewhere before I create a facebook page(I do have a personal page). My writing skills are exceptional and my determination is unmatched. I am young and hungry to start a career and my talents go beyond on-air. I understand how to do some light production and only need to be told something once and can do it right away. I am ready and willing to relocate for the right opportunity.
