Nabil is a significant and versatile food producer in the ME. The company employs around 800 people and has an annual capacity of 40.000 ton with over 300 SKU's exported to more than 20 countries.In addition to a strong brand within the retail market, they supply the majority of the international QSR's and the food service market.My role was to improve the standards of manufacturing through various initiatives and projects. I conducted daily audits, using set checklists for the facilities. Here I was looking for improvement areas and gaps in GMP standards, i.e. implementing the appropriate GMP tools; including observing, documenting and escalating sub-standard behaviour and poor practices, improving feedback to the management. My other key tasks include:- Reviewing procedure efficiency, formulating and implementing new procedures and standards of work, in compliance with stringent customer specifications.- Include follow ups on second party audit findings, ensuring GMP based non-compliances are not repeated. - Setting up and coordinating action tracker, a site-wide overview of GMP initiatives and activities, pursuing them until goals are completed. - Sourcing new equipment and solutions to improve ways of working safer and more hygienic. Liaising with international suppliers of equipment facilitating samples, tests approvals ordering and the implementation.- Setting up and chairing weekly compliance and GMP meetings, and continually updating action tracker.

With over 1400 employees and producing up to 1.8 million meals a week, Rogerstone Park is one of the largest and most advanced high end quality ready meal factories in Europe. We produced restaurant quality food for retail consumer market and to the food service/QSR markets.My role at 2SFG was to ensure implementation of all aspects of food safety, legality, hygiene, GMP and quality for frozen and chilled complex ready-meals in a fast changing environment in liaison with a team of up to 14 people per production line. Other key aspects include:- Demonstrating efficient line controls during new product launches and routine customer or third party audits. - Rectifying and/or escalating out of specification process of product.- Metal detection and x-ray detection (Loma systems).- Routine temperature checks of each component.- Ensuring a clean workplace and production line.- Average weight legislation compliance (Weight control) and check weigher calibration.- Portion control.- Seal integrity Tests.- Setting up traceability codes on a range of Linx printers.

The company had 3 factories in Norfolk and Suffolk plus factories in Germany and Hungary employing around 2000 people with a turnover of £300m.My role was in a fast paced, accredited CLAS laboratory, where I was conducting aseptic sampling and microbiological plating in addition to checking petri dishes after incubation.
