- As a member of a small development team in a startup which grew from 30 to 150 people overthat period, I was responsible for a number of critical tech design decisions as well asimplementation of those and putting out numerous fires which are inevitable for a fast-growingcompany. Ex: payments subsystem built from scratch which currently daily processes over $1Mthrough Wells Fargo ACH framework in a secure, easily auditable and maintainable fashion. • Worked as a contractor for the National Bank of Canada (the majority of time), also had contracts with the Marketing Store and Effix solutions during that time.• At the National Bank of Canada I was responsible for development and support of an existing in-house application used for global equity derivatives risk management, real time financial instruments pricing. Code base improvement, optimisation of algorithms, processes and database structure. Certain improvements saved hours of computation time during overnight/intraday calculations. Came up with a solution to price instruments in parallel on several GPU units instead of distributing tasks between dozens of multicore CPUs. • Technologies: C#, .Net, T-sql, Sql server, OpenCL

• Designed and implemented new interactive (ASP.net mvc & jquery) pivot business intelligence reports taking data from different database federations, federation members, blob storage and nosql storage (Windows Azure). Integrated it with the main framework (analytical framework which helps to calculate certain financial metrics). • Implemented mechanism for uploading and storing data in the cloud (several gigabytes per file, data is chunked and then validated and mapped in several processes and threads, leveraging the computational power of the cloud).
