Target Shooting Sports at YorkU prides itself on fostering a generation of young athletes. Our club provides a safe and supervised environment for students to participate in recreational and competitive sport shooting. We seek to educate students about Canadian firearm laws and the culture that is rapidly increasing within the shooting community. We offer recreational and competitive events to support all different types of firearms. In conjunction with the Canadian University Shooting Federation, TSS @ YU trains and competes in inter-university sport shooting competitions across Ontario.

The Canadian Earth System Model (CanESM) is the main climate model in Canada used to simulate past and present climate along with prediction and projection of future climate. A core component of CanESM is the Canadian Atmospheric Model (CanAM) which simulates atmospheric processes and dynamics. This job will support development and testing of CanAM through scientific and technical projects. The main scientific project will be to configure and test CanAM in an idealized model in which there is only ocean, aptly called an aqua planet configuration. There will be a number of parallel projects spanning a range of technical tasks with CanAM. These include software and documentation improvements, visualization of output and manipulation of large datasets.
