Alexander W. Werner is a graduate of The University of Missouri - St. Louis' Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. He is currently employed as the Executive Director with EverGreen ADC, Clinical Director with GreenLeaf TheraCare: Family Counseling & IOP, and is the Director of Clinical Operations with Monarch Therapies: Coaching, Counseling, and Wellness.Along with his two positions as a Mental Health Clinical Director, Alex is also engaged in private practice for both GreenLeaf and Monarch Therapies. Alex sees a wide variety of clients that include individual, group, and family counseling at both locations. He has also successfully opened and managed EverGreen ADC where a number of DHSS and DMH participants spend part of their day programming with Alex and his staff.While Alex has engaged in several ventures recently, all of which are fulfilling in many ways, he genuinely seeks to provide more direct care to disenfranchised and underprivileged minority groups and individuals.During his graduate and undergraduate studies Alex worked with underprivileged individuals as a volunteer and private practitioner while he designed group programming for sexual and gender spectrum individuals. He also designed and led anxiety/depression mindfulness groups.While Alex enjoys the work he is currently engaged in, he believes as a part of the LGBTQIA+ population he would like the opportunity to engage more with individuals from this community to which he belongs. Alex has been fortunate in the work he has done and continues to perform but, he finds himself excited by the idea of working more closely with his community.
