Expanded my writing repertoire, editing abilities, and voiceover experience while working on “This Day In Sports” and 9 of Playmaker’s 3-6 minute vertical format productions. My work is the most-watched sports news show on Snap Discovery, featured by Snapchat during their earnings presentation, and Newfronts as a standout example of their Discovery Platform’s content. With a portfolio of over 400 scripts, “This Day In Sports” has grown to amass 1.8 million Snapchat subscribers, averaging a total of 1:10 seconds viewed. The show’s success sparked the creation of 5 successful “This Day In” spinoffs, making my work viewed by over 3.5 million subscribers.

In my six seasons with Trojan Vision’s live sports television show, The Water Cooler, I wrote the show’s rundown, script, and topics of conversation. I also helped supervise the creation of topic bars, video packages, and every aspect of the broadcast’s production. Additionally, I created, wrote, and hosted “Buzzing with Blau,” a series of original satirical monologues highlighting emerging and constant social justice issues within sports.

Created over 1,000 pieces of unique content that engaged with students and alumni while expanding the university’s brand and social media presence. Raised constant awareness of USC athletics’ news while also designing original, creative, profitable merchandise (clothing and other booster items) that promotes USC’s collegiate sports. Under my supervision, BarstoolUSC’s Instagram and Twitter accounts added over 45,000 new Instagram and Twitter followers.

Tasked with setting up, recording, and editing the auditory and visual elements of a 3-shot, hour-long podcast orchestrated out of a food truck. Alongside the 2 hosts, USC football players, our production hosted guests such as Heisman winner Caleb Williams, Executive Director of the National College Players Association Ramogi Huma, and Comic/Actor Adam Ray.

While originally tasked with pitching and finding stories, my work on hard hitting pieces such as the Buccaneers’ Super Bowl Celebrations and Deshaun Watson’s Sexual Harassment Allegations led to expanded responsibilities. By the end of the internship, Wrote nearly 40 articles that TMZ published on its website and reported live on the TMZ broadcast.

Enhanced editorial skills to write and publish DSCUS weekly newsletter that went out to 2200 members. Additionally tasked with event planning for DSCUS’s 2021 national conference and utilizing Microsoft Office suite to create presentations for all-staff meetings.
