The idea of giving your all to see others succeed is a value that has always stuck close to me. I am determined to demonstrate my compassion for others through my actions and an analytical perspective. As a banquet server, I had to work in a team, multitask, and most importantly, I had to be action oriented. In a work environment that is built on customer service, it is about being able to meet expectations and provide experiences that people are satisfied with. Being able to move forward and act is powerful in moments of conflict, team settings, and pursuing a greater purpose. I am actively pursuing ways to support my community and demonstrate compassion. This includes my involvement in the Asian American Association and the Adoptee Awareness Student Association at Indiana University. These associations allow me to become educated and learn the steps that I can take going forward. Most of my actions are guided by logic and analytics. It is my passion for evidence and numbers that inspires me to provide efficient and relevant information that others can be satisfied with. Whether I am working on a presentation or working with financial data in my accounting course, it is evidence that provides the best experience for others. This is what drives my interest in an accounting career going forward throughout college. As an undergraduate accounting major, I utilize these skills to get an encompassing perspective of how to operate in the field. I aim to reach out and appeal to as many people as possible while still upholding a logical and financial perspective.
