Duties as Technical Specialist I:As a technical specialist I with St. Charles Health System, I was charged with being the frontline, sole IT support for Mountain View Hospital in Madras Oregon. Mountain View Hospital was an autonomous hospital with a managed services contract with SCHS, in which SCHS provided a C.E.O., a C.I.O., and myself as IT support. My duties were as follows:• Primary technical contact for isolated regional hospital and affiliated medical clinics.• Provided customer service to Doctors, Nurses, Administrative Staff, and hospital administrators, while working with them to resolve technical, training and job process innovations, as it related to customer interaction with technology.• Led and planned several projects to innovate the hospitals IT environment while working directly with hospital executives to facilitate the best outcome for the business while attaining necessary technologic goals.• Assisted with the hiring of supplementary IT staff as well as training them to be effective in our complex environment.• Facilitated in the Major system and process changes while transitioning from an older EHR package to a newer, more robust system. Duties as Technical Specialist II:As a technical specialist two, my duties shifted from the Madras, OR location to the Bend location. In this role I was the primary field contact for all regional St. Charles Ambulatory Clinics. My duties were as follows:• Developed and executed project plan for integrating a newly acquired clinic into the health system.• Primary filed support for twenty-five clinics across the central Oregon region from sisters to John Day.• Worked closely with technical and clinical staff to innovate and optimize the clinical computing infrastructure.

This was a contracted position specific for a major hardware upgrade for the HealthSync go-live at Cascade Healthcare Community (now St. Charles Health System). Duties as follows:• 2,000+ systems hardware and software upgrades completed.• Supplemented desktop support staff and eliminated a large service request backlog.• Worked closely with project management staff to execute upgrades in efficient manner while avoiding a negative impact on day to day operations.
