ALEXANDER DESOUZA holds a BFA in Film from York University and is an alumni of the 2019 Reykjavik Film Festival Talent Lab. As a director, Alexander's work has been screened internationally, dubbed in foreign languages and commissioned. When not on set, Alexander can be found tucked away working in offline editorial. He has delivered more than 60 hours of broadcast television to brands including CBC, Discovery Channel, Super Channel, Hollywood Suite, UKTV, Corus Entertainment and has worked on projects for companies including Elevation Pictures, Blue Ice Pictures, Wilding Pictures, Neshama Entertainment, First Generation Films, White Horse Pictures and more. Alexander is a full member of the Directors Guild of Canada, the Canadian Cinema Editors Association, BAFTA Connect and is a full voting member of the Canadian Screen Academy in the cinema and TV branches. He is fluent in post software including Avid Media Composer, Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve and has basic knowledge of Pro Tools, Baselight Look, SGO Mistika Boutique, Nuke as well as Unreal Engine and Scriptation. In his spare time, Alexander works as a photographer where he runs his imaging brand FRAMES BY DESOUZA featuring imagery he has taken from around the world.
