At just the age of 26, I've been lucky enough to find my way around the newsroom in the nation's top markets. In regards to my professional career, I am currently a producer for Spectrum News 13 Orlando and formerly a writer for WHDH 7News Boston (NBC). During my tenure at these top-market stations, I have been equipped with the skills to put together an enticing, intriguing and visually stunning live broadcast on a daily basis.Prior to my professional career, I graduated from Lyndon State College with a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Journalism Arts. Although Lyndon State may be a small school in numbers, it’s atop the national rankings for journalism accolades-- ranked sixth in the nation during my time. Being a student and reporting for the Vermont Center for Community Journalism got me started and gave me the tools needed to succeed in the news industry. During my three year practicum, I held the titles of: Producer, Web Producer, Anchor, Reporter, MMJ, Editor & Web Content Developer. Being familiar with virtually every position and piece of equipment in the newsroom gave me a better understanding of how crucial every element is.Steering away from my life in the newsroom, I was lucky enough to be given the chance of enrolling in the Disney College Program in 2013. I couldn't foresee myself passing up on the opportunity of a lifetime and that's just what it had turned out to be. As a cast member in the entertainment department, I was able to break out of my shell and given the tools to become more personable than ever. Being able to communicate through body language, words and emotions while breaking through religious and language barriers is a gift I was given and is still helping me in life to this day. Disney performs to a top-notch level, I learned how to mimic that.
