Alex Fleming joined PRA in 1998 as part of the sales team for the first franchise office in Santa Barbara, CA. Alex’s background in Event Design quickly proved him to be a natural for the DMC world. He recognized the opportunities that abounded at PRA and transferred to San Diego in mid 2000 to step into the position of Manager of Information Systems. He currently manages all aspects of the technology infrastructure for the “Core Four”. His involvement at PRA has been a fast paced trip, continually forging ahead with technological advancements in a very competitive industry. His strong background in sales and operations gives him the insight to develop and deploy the tools that can be used in the ‘real world’ of Destination Management. A highlight of Alex’s current focus is on expanding the web-based reservation software originally developed for tours & activities. Based on client demand for this customizable software, he is evolving this into a complete registration system including housing, general sessions, airfare, etc. With his insight, the expanded product will no doubt be more convenient, creative, and easy to use.Knowing from first-hand experience that client priorities and deadlines are the largest priority in a competitive market, he has created a service-oriented department with a human touch. He specializes in ‘real people’ instead of computer techie jargon. Alex has a Bachelor’s of Science in Ornamental Horticulture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and these talents continue to permeate his life path providing him with uniquely creative troubleshooting skills and excellent customer service.
