I am obsessed with asking and answering 3 questions:1. How do we ensure that executive leaders have the information they need to develop excellent top-level strategies?2. To execute those strategies, what are the operational and project processes that need to be implemented every day, month, and quarter throughout the organization?3. How do we effectively shift our workflows and cultures so that the work outlined above is the work that’s actually getting done?Throughout my career in biotech startups, I’ve blended a DevOps background specializing in AWS with a dedication to project and program management. Not only have I implemented the best practices in technical management ranging from ITIL, to agile and scrum, to the PMI’s methodology followed by PMPs; I’ve also been a consistent champion for pushing the field into the 21st century, for addressing head-on the very real complaints that developers have about management, and for setting aside ego and tradition to deliver results.I have led teams and projects that have contributed to the success of a $1.4 billion acquisition. I’ve contributed as both a developer and a manager to meeting the stringent FDA approval standards. I’ve led interdisciplinary teams to resolve hundreds of cybersecurity vulnerabilities and negotiate discounts with AWS that go beyond the standard EDP terms. As a change manager, I’ve ensured the success of multiple reorgs, mergers, periods of rapid scaling, and even a major divestment. Despite all of that, I’m the most proud of the time I’ve spent mentoring and advocating for a dozen or so up-and-coming team leads and technical project managers as they’ve grown into some of the most effective leaders I’ve had the pleasure of working with.Now, I’m looking to contribute to a growing startup either in Boulder or remote.
