I am an engineer working for the McLaughlin Research Corporation, supporting the Undersea Warfare Weapons, Vehicles, and Defensive Sytems Department at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center - Division Newport. In June 2022, I transitioned to the private sector from over 7 years of active duty as a Submarine Officer on US Navy fast attack submarines. I routinely execute various program management tasks and provide operational and tactical-level insight for future undersea technologies. Throughout my time in the Navy, I've excelled in a multitude of engineering, tactical, and operational leadership roles. In addition to receiving full submarine qualifications, I possess an active TS/SCI clearance, Nuclear Engineer Officer certification, and a DAWIA Level I certification for defense acquisitions. I earned a M.A. in Defense & Strategic Studies from the US Naval War College and graduated from Boston College in 2015 with a B.A. in both Political Science and Islamic Civilization & Societies. My academic and professional interests include: U.S. foreign policy and security studies, undersea warfare, decoy/ deceptive technologies employment, business development practices, and defense strategy and acquisitions. Outside of the office, I enjoy cooking (particularly classical French and Mexican cuisine), and can be found skiing during the winter and on the golf course during the warm weather.
