I have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Design from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where I graduated with high distinction, and I have years of experience working in a professional engineering environment.At WPI, I learned to complete engineering tasks and work in a team environment through a series of engineering, design, and management projects. For my Senior Project, I worked with an aerospace company to improve the manufacturing process for a jet engine component. This project work was reinforced by my participation in robotics competitions, where I went through the same process of requirement analysis, design selection, prototyping and testing, and product improvement that are required in a professional engineering environment. My leadership role on robotics teams also gave me a great deal of experience in teamwork, creativity, problem solving, and project management.At Kimball Physics I designed a range of mechanical components and systems both individually and in small teams. Due to the small size of the company, I was involved with all aspects of the design process, from initial concept development all the way through production, testing, and documentation.At L3Harris Technologies SSG, I do mechanical design and analysis on a variety of optical systems ranging from space telescopes to fast steering mirrors.
