During the course of three years, I had the opportunity to work a three GE Aviation facilities across the US ranging from avionics, engine components, to additive manufacturing. My roles during these rotations included operations/process improvement, design & test engineer, and manufacturing engineer. Key contributions include:- Contributed in the development of new additive manufacturing technologies to be applied in the production of turbine airfoils by expediting sample experiments- Developed testing automation software for a high speed wind tunnel reducing non value add operator labor by 96% for production testing and decreased operator induced variation by 76%- Focused on process improvement Improving shop operations cycle time by using a point of use system and implementing a cell re-layout

Worked with the NPI team during the launch of a new product line. After understanding the needs of the team, I saw an opportunity to automate the generation of Bill of Materials for the +260k new part numbers and decrease the time to market. The software provided the following benefits:- Reduction of 2 weeks of process time from the release cycle once orders are received- Elimination of ~1,000 of hours of manual loading that would of occurred over years- Ability to mass release/load BOM's and part numbers into the ERP system- Ability to build up cost models for pricing product- Provided visibility for a distribution network when building from component levels

Inspiring and empowering others to learn and master new material through showing passion and finding unique learning techniques is a challenge I have always found rewarding. During my final two years at University, I was a teaching assistant for a freshman course, "Introduction Engineering Use of the Computer". In this course students are taught programming fundamentals in MATLAB. My responsibilities in this role included assisting students during class, preparing course materials, and grading all assignments.
