As Engineering Lead, I am the senior-most Engineer within Bullhorn's Executive Search business - delivering software to a global set of highly demanding customers, who directly influence the executive leadership of thousands of companies worldwide. Our software is deployed through desktop and web applications, via the Azure Cloud. We adhere to a scaled Agile approach, with a near CI/CD deployment philosophy. My role can be split into the following areas of responsibility:Software delivery - I am responsible for the whole software development lifecycle; from conception, systems and software architecture, development, testing and timely delivery to align with an ambitious roadmap.Technical Operations - liasing with technical operations, managing our Platform as Code infrastructure and running incident response teams to ensure high uptime levels and coordinated responses to unplanned outages. Actively developing mitigating action plans for systems engineers to execute on in times of crisis.Customer Success - I am the point of urgent support escalations and make critical decisions about technical resolutions and how to mitigate risk while deploying them. I am involved in tech-discovery and feasibility requirements as part of our largest sales deals.Invenias Leadership Stakeholder - I am a key stakeholder in the operating committee for Invenias product line. I represent engineering concerns and roadmap and capacity constraints, and influence go-to-market activities for new product offerings.People leadership - as Engineering Lead, I hire and grow the existing Engineering team. I have refined hiring practices for both internal and external contractors, and actively help and mentor my team members through the development of their growth plans.

I lead the team developing the company's flagship web product. Working in Angular and C#, I am responsible for architecting and overseeing the delivery of our Angular web application, as well as day-to-day contributions to C# REST APIs and our Azure PaaS infrastructure. I am directly responsible for ensuring Invenias' code and design standards are upheld, as well as working closely with Product Managers to ensure effective estimation and timely delivery of features.I held a key role in the migration of Invenias' platform to Azure PAAS, implementing features and taking part in artichectural investigation and decision making, as part of our greenfield Infrastructure as Code platform.

Work as part of the UK Build Team, developing and maintaining ASP.NET web applications, SharePoint visual web parts, as well as SharePoint and Oracle database administration for all BMW group sites in the UK.These applications were judged at less than a few man-months' of effort, and I was actively involved in scoping and return on investment assessments as part of the project approval process.During this role, I was the sole Engineer and Product Owner for a system that now runs all of BMW Group UK's training requests and approvals.
