Hello! I am a software engineer with 7+ years of experience, currently settling into a new role at Infintium Fuel Cell Systems, Inc.My previous role was as a Windows desktop application developer in the modeling and simulation industry. I was part of a team developing an entity generator application using a plugin-based client / server architecture. I spent equal amounts of time working on the server, written in C++11 using Microsoft Visual Studio, and the client, written in Scala using IntelliJ IDEA and SBT.I enjoy building things and fixing things, so a career in software engineering has been a natural fit for me. I thrive when fully immersed in a technical challenge, hands at the keyboard and mind focused on code. The emphasis on creativity and problem solving makes this a satisfying process with equally satisfying products: code that this elegant, readable, and extensible, and software that meets the needs of users, allowing them to do their best work.I took time off in the summer of 2022 for a long road trip with the ultimate goal of relocating to the Southeast. My route took me down the Oregon and California coasts, then eastward along Route 66. I drove the Blue Ridge Parkway from southern to northern terminus before joining the Atlantic coast at Virginia Beach. I then followed the coast south to Key West before making my way back to Greenville. I look forward to putting down roots here, enjoying everything the Upstate region has to offer, and finding ways to contribute to my new community.
