👋 Hello, I'm Alexander!Currently apart of the design leadership team at TikTok working on GenAI products.I most recently led design for Coinbase NFT. Designing the future of Web3 through the discovery of NFTs. Making NFTs accessible to everyone and making them more personalized than ever. Prior to Coinbase, I led design for Facebook’s Portal TV. Designed experiences and shaped strategy that connects people to the ones they love through live video conferencing and immersive experiences. Accomplished by leading design work for Portal Human Interfaces and Portal TV. Also worked on AR blue sky experiences for Facebook's Building 8, the secretive team at Facebook. Most of the products were hidden, but design work was centered around forward thinking AR products and hardware in the home.Before Facebook, was a lead designer at Instagram. Designed experiences and helped build a team that was focusing on enabling business and top accounts (BEYONCE!) to better succeed on Instagram. Grew to over 25 million business and top accounts in just year and a half. Additionally, work encompasses many other spaces over the past 10 years. This includes eCommerce, entertainment advertising, visual effects, branding, and marketing.Personally, I am excited about designing products that mean something to me and others. My goal is to create experiences that I'm proud of while aligning to product strategy. I'm driven to push for progress, knowledge, and quality while designing experiences and solving problems for actual people.Outside of work, I'm a big gamer (board and video) along with getting outdoors with snowboarding, hiking, and camping. I also love to cook and ran my own restaurant popup for 2 years called Carb.

Lead Product Designer, Portal Tv At FacebookFacebook Nov 2018 - Feb 2020- Led software design for the new Portal TV device. This was the fastest selling device at the time of release and was the first time Facebook had designed an OS for a TV hardware product.- Designed the new OS for Portal that was TV specific and worked with the social network of Facebook. Had heavy involvement in shaping our product strategy, research, and fit and finish design. Collaborated with third party vendors / business team to help acquire new apps like Amazon Prime Now and Showtime.

This was apart of the landing team that was dedicated to finding new experiences within Facebook and for new hardware.- Designed augmented reality user-experiences from low-fidelity sketches to high-fidelity pixel perfect mock-ups, while staying abreast of AR UX trends.- Helped push strategy and ideas, by creating rapid prototypes to help validate design concepts with executive stakeholders.
