Working at Momentive is a dream come true. I take great pride in working for an organization whose products improve our quality of life. As a member of the Content Engineering team, I am responsible for attracting the next generation of momentive users. The web pages that my team maintain are the first and last our visitors see. This means I am responsible for developing and maintaining a web platform that is fast, stable, and expressive. To deliver on these values, our team faithfully follows an agile workflow focused on continuous integration. We share responsibilities for code releases. We expect team members to share and demonstrate domain expertise. These high standards allow us to enjoy open communication, comradery, and a sense of ownership. Currently, our team is focused on developing highly performant and organized Single Page Applications (SPA). Our team designed these SPAs to support a suite of Momentive brands and products including SurveyMonkey, Wufoo, Usabilla, and GetFeedback. Our goal is to develop a web world class Content Management System with a strong focus on supporting more experiments, more automation tests, and an expanding style guide.

San Mateo

During my summer at SurveyMonkey, I migrated web pages from a Python Web application which relied heavily on Jinja2 templates into an Express server. During the migration I recreated the templates in React components. Each component I develop was localized, server side rendered, search engine optimized (SEO), metric tracking, responsive behavior, and a test suite with at least 75% line coverage. During this process I work with stakeholders on multiple teams, and experienced changes to the project via A/B testing. The webpage that I developed is now on track to being seen more than 14 million times per week.

United States

During my brief internship at Kainos, I worked autonomously to design, assemble and launch a new website for the organization. The website is built on the Wordpress CMS and a the Visual Composer plug-in. Due to the small size of this nonprofit organization these technological choices allowed me to build a robust website independently and they promise a brighter future for their web presence. My work has reduced their cost of web hosting by over $100 a month and decreased the time for updates to appear on the website by over 2 months.

Redwood City

As a Product Adviser, my job was to make sure our potential clients understand the value proposition which Y Media Labs had to offer. Using my understanding of the digital space, I revealed insights into client problems then explained how we have overcome similar challenges in the past. In order to extend the reach of this company I made cold calls, published a paper, and attended local tech meetups. Everyday I would set aside time to create and send out engaging slide decks for our past projects, and project proposals.

Sunnyvale, California

As the project manager my primary responsibility was to communication with clients, demo deliverables, and continuously adjusting our product backlog to address client needs. As the front-end developer I worked in HTML, CSS, and Angular to create responsive and stable layouts which reflected the information gathered and passed by our back-end server.
