He has more than 15 years of experience designing IP based networks for both fixed and mobile services. Prior to Tele2, Alexander was a System Engineer at Cisco, where he led technical sales across a broad range of areas including IP routing, mobile packet core, mobile backhaul, small cells, network virtualization / NFV and IP/Optical integration. In his career, he has designed and operated multiple Tier-3 IP networks and one PAN European Tier-2 IP network. Alexander has also done several network migrations, collapsing large networks for better synergies and coherent service offering. He continues to stay on top of fundamental trends and disruptions, and examines new developments with focus on network virtualization.As head of IP network strategy at Tele2, he is uniquely positioned to access the impact of Cloud and understand how to build an infrastructure supporting the new 5G services.
