A development of my previous role. I progressed to managing the ecommerce side of YTC's clothing trademark; Rydale.Being responsible for the overall success of the Rydale brand online, I lead a growing team of individuals and work closely with other departments within the business.My team currently includes web developers, a product lister, and a social media manager. I also liaise with external SEO and PPC agencies as primary contact.

My original focus at YTC was on ecommerce through multiple channels including Amazon and Ebay. I had the responsibility of managing products from selection, pricing, stocking levels, promotion, photography, description, shipping and customer support. This helped me to build a strong understanding of retail as a business and what it takes to be successful in a constantly evolving and highly competitive market.I went on to take on a large involvement in their own website (yorkshiretrading.com). My responsibilities grew to include commercial writing and marketing. I put effort into developing my copywriting expertise and familiarity with SEO which lead onto launching the company’s blog and social media presence.This development lead on to a large shift in my role. I now manage the content on their successful fashion retail website (rydaleclothing.co.uk) having had a considerable part in its development and launch.My current mission is to progress the Rydale brand online which is both challenging and rewarding. It gives full opportunity to use all of my obtained skills which I worked to achieve with the company up to this point. I also get to exercise my prevailing passion for product, lifestyle and fashion photography. I have designed and produced the majority of the content observable on the site and decided on its arrangement working closely with my web developer colleague. The nature of fashion retail requires my content and the layout of it to be constantly updated and kept fresh, without compromising on the effortless navigation and accessibility which makes it function as an ecommerce website.It’s a fast paced work environment in which I have to proficiently manage my time independently to meet concurrent deadlines. I continue to take on new and exciting projects for Rydale including an email campaign, a vigorous online presence and more creative and exciting digital content than ever before.

Alongside my studies I worked as a professional freelance photographer for over four years. To get the best out of people during my shoots has been heavily dependent upon my being able to develop a good rapport with my subjects young and old, and getting them to feel at ease with me in what can be a stressful activity for most people. Each shoot requires careful planning and project management, many arrangements need to be made before a shoot can proceed such as location and model release, liaison with clients and sometimes other people such as makeup artists, hair stylists and models involved in some shoots. Some commissions, for example events and wedding photography, are a one off occasion where I was employed to take the serious responsibility for meeting and exceeding the requirements of my client without room for error.I continue to build a portfolio of personal work in my spare time as a serious hobby.

My main responsibility in this role was to conduct surveys for organisations in both the public and private sector. This meant directly seeking members of the public and using interpersonal and communication skills to collect their considered responses to questions during telephone interviews and inputting them into the system swiftly and accurately. I had the responsibility to meet challenging targets and perform my role efficiently while maintaining professionalism representing the company while dealing with members of the public.
