... among others I was in charge of doing the whole electrical part of the first ever build rally car in Sub-Sahara area, mechanical was Marco in charge, a good friend from Switzerland. After a planning phase of app. 3 months, we made out of a normal street car (Daewoo Nexia) within 9 days 24/7 with about 12 x 2 mechanics and 6 x 2 electricians a car to compite at the world wide known Safari Rally and became Position 7 at first try.

.... it was great to get part of former Momella Farm, owned by german actor Hardy Krueger, back to "life", since Herrmann Twerdy, a retired austrian formula 3 pilot asked me to join him and his wife Mama Pip, former manager of Diani Shopping Center, until the 885 acre big farm is set up for first harvesting incl. rebuilding the former farm house and attached buildings. Here I learned not only the pure kisuahili language but was also member of the catholic choir in near Sanya Juu as only "Mzungu" and was even allowed at a maasai wedding at the inner circle of the "village" ....

"succeeding" to travel from West Africa (Senegal) to East Africa (Kenya), after having sent from Dakar 80 !!! kg of overweight luggage back to Germany by airfreight ... --> thanks god I made it alive

.... it was exciting to assist in setting up a new kind of cable hornisses production, that was for the "new" S-Class of Mercedes Benz (W140), in total 300 PCs a day, each on a sales price of average Deutsch Mark 2.500. The "new" thing was to produce for each car ist own cable wiring, since there were to many comfort extras with electrical function to manufacture complete wirings and on top just in time produced, meaning we got via permantent telephone line 36 production hours in advance the contents of the electrical wiring of the car, collected data for 3 hrs in order to optimise our 3 parallel operating production lines, wow .... what a hugh responsiblility for a young boy, believing to be a man by that time ! :-)))
