Within that year we proceeded in overhauling a lot of that infrastructure and migrating the majority of systems in more suitable/ up to date environments.A year within the role, the need for a fully-fledged infrastructure security overhaul from both a technical and policy perspective arisen and due to my interest and knowledge in the subject I ended up picking up this project. Working alongside my colleagues within the IT department I quickly became the focal point for networking and security, ending up designing and implementing the vast majority of the infrastructure around those two disciplines.
