My academic and professional pursuits engage socially-directed questions surrounding urban planning and design. I’m particularly interested in collective and community ownership as a means of addressing enduring spatial inequalities. I provide practical solutions such as design resources, construction and redevelopment expertise, and on-site construction training to community groups and housing co-operatives. I am also a co-founder GRAFT Design, a landscape collective based in Edinburgh and Paris that intermingles such disciplines as art, architecture, and ecology.With a background in landscape architecture, teaching, and community engagement, I would love to join a practice as a landscape architect or temporary consultant. I am especially keen to hear from practices with similar interests of community engagement, co-operation and environmental awareness.

Notably I worked on large-scale landscape projects for the municipality of Alta, delivering long-distance skiing routes for competitions and domestic use. A drastic contrast to previous employment, working in the northern Arctic Circle community of Alta required deep understanding of the climate’s impact on landscape and how we use it.
