JEDI Global P&L System WPF to HTML5 MigrationI defined the patterns and practices used by the UI development team in migrating a global profit and loss accounting platform from WPF to AngularJS.This involved defining the UI architecture, file and folder structure, MVC pattern and gulp build system. I also defined the unit, integration and UI automation testing framework and approach. The patterns and practices I created, documented and taught were followed by a team of developers.

Build out of Tesco Groceries application for Windows 8 App Store.Working via Microsoft Consulting Services I was tasked with extending the Tesco Groceries windows store app. I was responsible for working with the design team and building out new features.The app was built using WinJS, the JavaScript based windows application framework.

Situational Awareness at Heathrow AirportYear long project to integrate 6 disparate data sources into one mapping based operational dashboard.Datasource types included Sonic JMS, IBM WebLogic, a custom Web API that GPS enabled ground units pushed movement updates to and a surface movement guidance and control system (SMGCS) for aircraft positioning.The UI was built with Silverlight and the service layer was built with WCF including a heavily optimised real time bi directional TCP communications channel.

Advisory, scoping and planning for a Windows 7 platform upgrade for an in-flight application used by cabin crew to serve high-value customers.

Worked on site at numerous client sites in and around New York City, London and Dubai including several world class investment banks.In 2008 I moved to the UAE to help start the Dubai office.During my time at Infusion I was the technical lead on a product called Falcon Eye. This is a 3D mapping and business intelligence platform with client software that ran on Microsoft Surface, Windows 7 Touch screens and standard mouse and keyboard driven desktop. A common codebase was shared across the different clients while different modules and plugins were created to take advantage of the unique user interface capabilities of each client platform.

Building a proof of concept application on the Microsoft Surface multi-touch table.

Developed the front end of a collateralized debt obligation (CDO) trading and pricing scenario application. It had an ASP.NET front end and leveraged Ajax techniques for a responsive user experience. The back end database was Oracle and the system also used IIOP to communicate with Java services. The target hosting environment for the application was entirely Linux so it needed to leverage the open source implementation of the .NET framework called Mono.

Worked on an enterprise level web application designed to track and manage IT asset information with a focus on the data center. The architecture of the application was a SQL Server 2000 backend with VB.NET, ASP.NET front end running on Windows Server 2003/IIS. Other components that complimented the system were a VB.NET windows service for automatic generation of Visio diagrams and a Pocket PC application for auditing assets in the field, developed with the .NET Compact Framework.
